The Ankogel as the border mountain between North and South feeds on the abundance of snow on both sides of the Tauern mountain range. Hence powder snow in winter and corn snow in spring can be enjoyed for a long time. The alpine ski resort of Ankogel at an altitude of 2600 m is one of the highest ski resorts in Carinthia providing pure pleasure for all winter sportsmen.
