Bad Gastein - Sportgastein: Never a bad ski vacation
As far as beginner skiing goes in Bad Gastein, it doesn’t get much better or more diverse than Sportgastein. Beginners can go skiing at just under 900 meters and hit the slopes at altitudes as high as 2686 meters, with plenty of green slopes for beginners. Bad Gastein night skiing is always a favourite choice, with snow cannons shooting off fireworks of snow twinkling like stars under stadium lights. There are 65 ski runs in total, and an 8 km run said to be quite fast - 20 of the runs are wide beginner slopes with only six dedicated to expert skiers. Bad Gastein ski holiday is intended to serve the entire family. Bad Gastein has always been good to snowboarders, too. There is freestyle park for those who don’t mind going home with bruises. Go off-piste with guide to hit the Hohe Tauern National Park; there, 90 km of paths await. The Salzburg airport is only 90 km away, with daily shuttles to and from the airport. One ski pass connects skiing bunnies and snowboard junkies to Ski Amade.

Snowboard park description Finally the legendary Gastein-Valley gets its desired snowpark. And even more than that: It gets a QPark! That means a sophisticated setup and snowpark conception and perfect quality from the first day of the season to the last.
The whole setup rather applies to beginners and intermediate riders than to pros. The size of the kickers will fit into that concept as well. Snowpark Gastein will develop and get bigger and bigger in the coming years and with that more pro obstacles will be integrated in the list of elements.
