Innsbruck the capital of the Tirol region is probably the easiest ski resort to access. This is because it is only 2 kms away from the airport, which means that you could be on the slopes within minutes of touch down at the airport. Much of the action takes place in the square of the old town where there are lots of bars and cafés. Popular bars include the Piano Bar, Irish Pub and the Elfer House. The Hofgarten café is a great place for good food and good company. There are also dozens of nightclubs and a large casino offering spectacular views of the mountains at night.
