After a long day of skiing, you can relax and regain your strength in the Tauern Spa, a modern wellness center offering 48000 m2, an indoor and an outdoor pool, saunas and a panoramic view.
Kaprun with Kitzsteinhornom you will not leave longing for powder snow. A lot of it lies just below the summit in the shady position, and if the conditions are not perfect, simply stick to the more rocky areas below the chairlifts. Your legs are likely to burn after only a few minutes, but you can pick new track during the chairlift ride. A lot of terrain is also available for those who want to set up their backcountry kicker on the sunny slopes, but access to these areas will require some careful crossing.
When a freestyler thinks of Kitzsteinhorn at Kaprun, the first things on his mind are four different parks at different altitudes, an amazing superpipe and interesting jib objects.
Many competitions in snowboarding and freestyle skiing at the highest level are held here in the course of the season. The largest of these are Austrian Freeski Open and X Over Ride , which attract many sports fans.
The park is open for 8 months each year. If there is not enough snow in the lower parts of the glacier, the objects can be easily moved to the highest area of the glacier.
