Drag and chair lift with gondolas take skiers and boarders to wherever they desire between 1350 meters and 3340 meters. The appropriate ski pass will link up Sölden Glacier with Obergurgl-Hochgurgl, opening up 260+ km of skiing terrain. Several slopes open late into the evening for night skiing. The Sölden Glacier snowboarding includes some real treats. There is a half-pipe, fun park, wave rides, jumps, slides, corners and boxen. It should be of no surprise that with such altitude comes a long and snowy ski and snowboard season. The opening date usually begins at the end of September and ends mid May nearly 7-8 months later. A ski vacation here can be had at almost anytime during the winter months.
