Based in Slovenia, Mountvacation.com is an internet booking provider specialising in European mountain holidays in both summer and winter. We offer highly customisable, multilingual, real time online and offline bookings of mountain holidays. We have the largest mountain accommodation database online, all within a well-designed and user-friendly interface. By 2015 we aim to be the biggest provider of mountain holidays in Europe.
How did MountVacation.com start?
MountVacation.com was developed from GoGoSki.com which was founded by Dejan Romih, OBS d.o.o. (Online Booking System) in 2007. GoGoSki.com was one of the first mountain resort online databases and booking systems launched for the European market.
Since 2007, GoGoSki.com which was rebranded to MountVacation.com has established an internet key market niche; mountain tourism. Mountain holiday clients can browse through the vast selection of hotels, apartments, resorts and holiday packages all on one website.
Out Team?
Dejan Romih, founder of GoGOSki.com is the CEO of MountVacatinon.com (OBS d.o.o), he is a passionate entrepreneur who has worked the 12 years in travel business mainly in executive positions. Originally a ski instructor Dejan now heads Europe’s leading brand specialising in mountain ski and snowboard holidays.
MountVacation.com is a young multilingual international team that consists of 29 professionals, each of whom have extensive knowledge in their given field, thus ensuring clients find and experience the best mountain holiday available at a price that suits them. Our Sales Support Team and Specialist Product Managers are avid ski enthusiasts who are trained in all areas of mountain & ski holidays from ground transportation, accommodation through to lift ticket sales, ski rental and other special mountain activities.
Our friendly and knowledgeable team are experts at sending skiers to their favourite resorts. With over 70 years cumulative experience we know what skiers and snowboarders prefer and we know the properties throughout. We have the largest selection of mountain and ski accommodation in Europe plus we do not charge booking fees when booking on or offline.

MountVacation.com’ database of properties include more options in the mountains than any other travel provider. In certain resorts we have block bedding space, preferred rates and access to live availability. Clients can also book extras such as ground transportation, accommodation, car rental through to lift ticket sales, ski rental and other special mountain activities.
Independence
MountVacation.com operate under a Tour Operator Licence issued by the Slovenian Chamber of Commerce and is regulated by EU law. We are an independent company; we are not financially connected with any tour operator enabling us to offer accommodation from a fully independent viewpoint. Thus ensuring clients receive a comprehensive and competitively priced holiday.

MountVacation.com’ internet booking engine enables “dynamic packaging”: our customers can customise their holidays and buy all services under the one roof such as ski rental, ski passes, ski transfers, ski school, ski insurance and most importantly accommodation.
Clients can access our products through an online or offline channel which enables them to use one of the largest online databases available. We offer over 6200 properties in 397 destinations and 9 countries, all available in six languages, French, English, German, Italian, Croatian and Slovene.

Our company connects service providers with potential customers via an interface that allows customers to make direct reservations at the chosen destination without incurring additional costs and agency fees. MountVacation.com is developing a cloud booking platform which is offered to properties and service providers. Currently more than 2,000 partners are using the basic platform with the ability to upload availability and, special deals into Mountvacation.com’ booking system.

Financial Stability and Security
Our initial capital was raised by The Slovenian Business Angels Club who represent the intersection between ambitious entrepreneurs in the initial growth phases of their company and the most successful Slovenian businesspeople. In late 2011 we secured “Round A” venture capital through RSG Capital, a venture-capital management company. In addition to these financial assets, MountVacation.com also has the backing of two key players in the international business world. Offering extensive business knowledge, experience and social capital are Mr Dick Porter, Founder and Director of STA Travel Group. The second key player is Craig Hepburn, Global Director of Digital & Social Media at Nokia Guildford, United Kingdom.
