La Plagne is a big part of the Paradiski ski area in France. Snowboarders will find some of the world’s best snowboarding in La Plagne. La Plagne proper is part of the Savoy department and boasts ski holidays like no other. The Vanoise Express links skiing and snowboarding areas. The highest altitude here is 3250 meters with the nearest airport Grenoble is just over 130 km away. Buses and other direct transport services run from the airport to La Plagne everyday, so weekend getaways are the norm.
