The base resort sits at 1650 metres and its highest point is the Dome De La Lauze which at 3568 metres is certainly not for the faint hearted. Les 2 Alpes has 55 state of the art ski lifts which are able to transport 66,000 people to their destinations every hour and 191 snow cannons are on standby just in case the unthinkable happens.
Snowboarders are well looked after here with some of the best facilities in France. There are also three separate snowboard schools if you are a novice.

Restaurants along the central road running through the resort contains a wide range of restaurants, 17 at last count and over 30 bars.
The apres ski scene here is lively to say the least and there is always something going on. One bar has a selection of over 200 beers to choose from. There are also 4 nightspots that stay open until dawn during peak season. Some of the best music can be found at the Café Bresilien.
As you would expect, the shopping here is good, offering a wide range of shops selling everything from high fashion, to beauty, crafts and gifts. There are also a number of food halls where you can buy anything from cheese to wine.

The nearest airport is Grenoble which is 70 kms away, low cost carriers such as Easyjet fly into Les 2 Alpes on a frequent basis. There is a regular bus service which transports passengers direct to the resort.
