Serre Chevalier is a large ski resort between Col du Lautaret and Briancon consisting of 13 villages spread along the way which range from ultra-modern to traditional villages. Each village is lift linked to each other and it is easy to ski from one to another. Serre Chevalier ski holidays offer its guests one of the largest ski areas in France with 250 kms of north facing slopes for beginners through to experts.
Serre Chevalier offers an adrenalin fuelled challenge for expert skiers and thrill seekers especially on the "Olympic Luc Alphand" black run. Serre Chevalier is one of the top French destinations for snowboarders thanks to its varied terrain and off-piste opportunities. There are a total of 5 cross country trails to enjoy.
Due to its 13 different village resorts, there are plenty of bars, cafes and restaurants to choose from. Although the night life can hardly be described as "rocking" there are one or two lively bars in each village with popular ones being the White Hare Bar at the Hotel Lievre Blanc in Villeneuve 1400. The Chantemerle at 1350 has Le Pub Ullivan and also a French karaoke bar at L'Escapade. Both of the resort's two discos, La Baita and Bam, are in Villeneuve.

WHAT'S ON
Serre Chevalier hosts a wide choice of sporting and non-sporting events throughout the year including the Masters Ski world Cup, The Snowkite Masters and the Serre Chevalier Grand Prix. Other activities for visitors include ice skating, tobogganing, sleigh rides and snowshoeing.
HOW TO GET THERE
Travellers have a choice of airports that are located near to the resort. Geneva and Lyon are serviced by Easyjet whilst Ryanair will fly you into Grenoble. Transfers are by shuttle bus, taxi or rail.
