About the ski resort Val Thorens
Val Thorens : Ski Vacations in the Vanoise
Val Thorens is part of the Vanoise mountain range in the Vallee des Belleville, Les Trois Vallees in Savoy. There are cable cars, gondolas, drag and chair lifts to take skiers and snowboarders to 68 ski runs, 140 km in total. The longest slope runs for seven kilometers with the highest altitude reaching 3230 meters. The nearest airport is Chambery, 112 km away south of Albertville in France. There are direct buses from the airport and railway stations, so getting to Val Thorens for mini ski holidays is no hassle. A ski pass connects Val Thorens to Orelle, Vallees des Belleville and the three Vallees. Val Thorens skiing is great for beginners because there are four different ski schools, employing over 280 ski instructors. As long as students speak one of the fifteen languages (wow!), then a ski lesson is possible.
