About the ski resort Valmorel

« Valmorel la belle » regroups the resorts of Valmorel and Doucy-Combelouviere in the first ski area in the Tarentaise, with 3600 hectares of skiing and snow activities for everyone. Walks, mountain pedestrian itineraries, snow shoes, snake-gliss, air board, igloo village, something for everyone in a unspoilt environment. Adding to its magnificent views : the Lauziere, Vanoise and Mont Blanc mountain ranges is the local architecture with its savoyard chalets built out of stone, wood and slate. For holidaymakers there is a selection of accommodation (hotels, tourist residences, rental apartments, holiday centres and bed and breakfasts), as well as organised structures such as the ESF and the « Piou-piou » club (children from 18 months to 6 years old). The magic of the mountains is also created by the atmosphere in the resorts with their entertainment and apres ski activities. In Valmorel, the « rue du Bourg » - pedestrian and shopping street - and the hamlets linked to each other with the « télébourg » and short pedestrian paths running through the narrow streets. From each of these hamlets there is a ski lift giving access to the ski area. Doucy-Combelouviere, the Morel valley balcony, is a magnificent site situated on a sunny crest. A small welcoming resort with a calm atmosphere ideal for family holidays.
