The biggest of the resorts has to be the Garmisch-Partenkirchen skiing area in the Bavarian Alps, which has 118 kilometres of pistes catering for all levels of difficulty, and has about 109 kilometres of cross country tracks. Also worth noting is the snow quality tends to be excellent throughout the season.

Cross country skiing lovers will be thrilled about what Germany has to offer. The Black Forest on its own offer about 600 miles of cross country track through beautiful nature, with the possibilities of tackling the tracks even at night as some of the trails are lit during the dark hours.
