WHY WE RECOMMEND IT
The call of the mountains is ever-present and permeates life up here. The Kronplatz mountain, with its 2,275 meters high summit and its beloved bald head, is visible from every vantage point in the valley. It may not be the most beautiful mountain in the world, nor the highest, nor the most striking, but it is a sturdy specimen and an ideal skiing mountain with three sides to conquer.
Kronplatz is the main skiing hub in the Puster valley. In the valley and on the slope: fun, great atmosphere, traditional mountain huts, regional delicacies, relaxing apres-ski. Modern lift facilities, unforgettable holidays.
Winter can have a thousand attractions. In the Kronplatz holiday area around Brunico, San Vigilio di Marebbe and Valdaora the services on offer are very varied.
The Kronplatz skiing area has the most modern and comfortable lifts. The slopes are able to satisfy even the most demanding of skiers. Pure and simple, Kronplatz is one of the major skiing areas in South Tyrol. For families, there are wide, gentle slopes. However, that doesn't mean that there aren't any more challenging runs for the expert skiers. By taking the new "Piculin" lift and the skibus there is now a direct connection to Alta Badia!
Kronplatz is perfect for families, especially for children. In cooperation with the ski school South Tyrol, there is a special teaching programme for children from 3 years onwards as well as a children's ski park at "Croniworld". Well trained kindergarten teachers look after your small ones from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. so that you can also enjoy yourself out on the slopes! With over 160 instructors available, you're bound to have a great time!
Dining out & Nightlife
Over 40 mountain huts and restaurants immediately adjacent to 105 km of skiing slopes invite you to take a break and sample the traditional food and drink on offer in a welcoming atmosphere. "Apres-ski" is taken very seriously in the places around Kronplatz. The nightlife is also very enticing.
