Situated at an altitude of 1550 m in the wonderful hollow between Brenta Dolomites and the glaciers of Adamello and Presanella.
Madonna di Campiglio became a renown tourist area in the second half of the 20th century. Madonna di Campiglio was turned into a refined holiday area for nobles and the rich Austrian and Central Europe upper middle class. In 1889 and 1894 Princess Sissi and the Emperor Francesco Giuseppe were its guests.
The Adamello-Brenta Nature Park covers a 50,000 hectare territory with 450 km of alpine paths but these are more figures. While walking, mountain biking or riding along these paths through the cool woods and the beautiful larch woods, you can really feel the emotions that Madonna di Campiglio offers to its tourists. You just need to step outside the village to visit lakes, small valleys, brooks, alpine huts and refuges with a splendid view of the massive peaks floodlit by the sun.
