The Hotel Restaurant "Zum Hirschen" is located in the very heart of the romantic village of Zell am See. It is the ideal choice for active winter holidays because of its location, and also for the quality of its service and of its food.
In the morning, we offer a variety of exquisite breads, cereals, and fresh eggs prepared the way you like them. And for dinner, perfect food is served in a formal style every day. The a la carte restaurant is one of the best in town, with its traditional Austrian cuisine prepared with a touch of international flair. With the offer of five table-d’hôte menus, with different main courses every day and a salad bar, you still find for sure something to satisfy your appetite and please your palate.
The mountains, famous for the panorama and the view they offer, can be reached by the gondola right next to the hotel, and the water of the lake was awarded for its drinking quality. Close to the gondola, the city express bus will bring you directly into the skiing area of the Schmittenhöhe, a wild ski resort that offers slopes for every skier. The slopes and the brand new lift are definitely worth mentioning, and the different activities and events right on the top of the mountain, at an altitude of 2000 meters, are not to be missed as they will contribute to make your ski day a perfect day.
And to make your apres-ski perfect too, you can enjoy a “Glühwein” (cooked wine) and start relaxing at the bar before proceeding to the spa. We do offer a pool, an infrared cabin, and a classic sauna. Please note that massage treatments and the solarium should be booked in advance.
And your perfect day is not over yet! You can have a comforting night cap in our lounge area, or a gin-tonic the gin-house, where more than 100 labels of gin are offered.
