Hotel Vitranc is located in the centre of the Podkoren village. Podkoren is situated only a few kilometres from Italy and Austria. Hotel Vitranc has had a long tradition since 1800. Due to new trends it was renovated in 2005.
Good position of the Hotel Vitranc allows clients easy access to ski areas in Italy (Treviso) and Austria (Nassfeld, Gerlitzen, Arnoldstein,…). Podkoren is only 2,5 km away from Kranjska Gora, one of the most famous ski resorts in this part of Europe. Kranjska Gora with the Vitranc slope has already been a host of FIS World Cup for many years (alpine skiing). Ski Jump Centre Planica is also in the vicinity. Planica also owns a world record in ski jumping in the world.
Podkoren with hotel Vitranc is a perfect destination to spend great vacation, only a stone's throw away from all events and luxury.
Hotel Vitranc has 15 comfortable rooms, all equipped with bathroom (shower or bath), cable TV, telephone and internet connection (included in price), some with balcony, etc.
We can accommodate individual clients, families or even groups. Rooms have a beautiful view of the neighbouring peaks or of the slopes of Vitranc (connected with Kranjska Gora). People that are not ski enthusiasts can enjoy themselves in snow hiking, cross country skiing, ice skating, etc. After a long day in nature one will enjoy the dinner at the hotel. Hotel is well known for its delicious cuisine, home made cakes and professional staff. In the neighbouring house (owned by hotel Vitranc) there is also a small wellness area with finish sauna, showers and relaxation room. Drinks are also available at the wellness area.
