Baqueira Beret is a complete resort, divided in 3 areas: Beret, Baqueira, and Bonaiqua with their respective characteristics, a network of modern installations and carefully maintained pistes, will satisfy all skiers. Baqueira, the pioneer, inaugurated in 1964, has a wide range o f pistes suitable for all levels but it’s also the resort with most black pistes. The experts will, thus, come across some greatly dis-levelled pistes, mostly on the north side, guaranteeing the excellent quality of the snow. Some famous one are: Luis Arias, Eth Mur, Tubo Neve and the Escornacrables. Beret is idea l for beginners and families. You’ll have easy access, by foot from the parking, to all amenities ( restaurants, cafeteria, school, etc..). Its pistes are very wide and of moderate inclination. Although, paradoxically, it is there that the permanent Stadium hosting competitions of high level is located. Snowboarders will also be able to enjoy a snowpark in this area of the resort. Bonaigua is the zone with more spades and possess two highly recommendable itineraries: Lo Boscas and Gerber. All amenities is on foot distance by road. Baqueira, Beret and Bonaigua all dispose cafeterias, restaurants, bars, nurseries and ski schools. In Baqueira Beret the most important is skiing in all its aspects but that’s not all. There’s an endless list of activities to occupy you during the day: dog-pulled sled treks, snowshoeing excursions, heliski, etc. If Baqueira a beret has always put an emphasis on the highest quality of services, Val d’Aran wasn’t left behind. Of an extraordinary beauty, this valley always surprises first-time visitors who didn’t expect such an alpine landscape in Spain. It managed to retain its traditional architecture, stone and wooden houses with their slated roofs, That tradition has been kept in more modern construct ions. All its small villages with roman churches deserve to be visited. Its choice of hotels is excellent and the apres-ski activities are endless: Ice palaces, thermal baths, museums, cultural visits, cinema, golf, horse rides, bars and discos. A special mention should be given to catering in Val d’Aran. No other place offers such an extensive range of choice, more than 200 restaurants serving a cuisine with a clear French influence (the valley borders with France) but also Basque, Catalan and local, the latter being better represented in La Olla Aranessa, is a must for the visitors of this land.

A hidden gem of the Pyrenees, Panticosa was the traditional mountain retreat for the rich and influential of Spanish society in the nineteenth and early twentieth century. The unspoilt harmony of the traditional mountain architecture of the village itself and the stately silhouettes of the spa complex give an air of grandeur and history to the valley. A five-minute cable car ride from the heart of this peaceful setting at 1,160 metres to an altitude of 1,900 metres reveals a jealously guarded secret: a modern ski-station equipped with the latest technological advances. Panticosa is proud of its facilities and to avoid saturation of the ski-station there is a limit of 3,500 visitors per day. The on-piste facilities include a nursery and a pizza restaurant with panoramic views of the slopes, bar, cafeteria, ski-hire shop and a boutique with the latest in skiwear design. Accommodation ranges from luxurious four and five-star hotels in the spa complex to three-star, family-run hotels where the personal attention makes the guest feel at home. The nearby ski-station of Formigal provides additional options such as dog-sled and skidoo rides.

Sierra Nevada defies many concepts associated with skiing. Located at barely a stone’s throw from the Mediterranean coast, it has practically guaranteed sunshine, the best spring snow conditions in Europe and is still reasonably priced compared to many of its European counterparts. As one of Europe's highest resorts it has a typically long season, traditionally opening at the end of November running through to the end of April or even into the first week of May. Sierra Nevada literally means "Snowy Mountain Range" and includes some of the highest peaks in Europe not to mention the highest concentration of peaks over 3,000m in the country. The Mulhacen, at 3,482m, is Spain's highest after Mount Teide in Tenerife. The ski terrain is majestically overlooked by the glacier formed jagged peak of Veleta at 3,398m, Spain's third highest after Aneto, (3,404m), in the Pyrenees. The ski resort of Sierra Nevada offers its visitors a wide and ever expanding range of facilities as well as a ski terrain to suit skiers & boarders of all standards. Families will enjoy quality hotel accommodation as well as child facilities such as the recently developed Mirlo Blanco recreation zone comprising of activities such as Ski Bike, Inner Tubing, Ice Skating and the new “Roller-Sled”. The creche and Snow Garden are well run establishments with fully trained staff to look after children up to 7 years old. The Sierra Nevada offers 79 slopes with a total of 84 skiable kilometres. The most southern ski station in Europe proudly counts 8 green slopes (easy), 33 blue slopes (intermediate) and 34 red (advanced) and black (difficult) slopes. Everyone will find the right terrain for his personal level and taste.
