About the ski resort Verbier - 4 Vallées
Verbier – Les 4 Vallées – Ski Holidays For Couples, Families & Pros
Verbier – Les 4 Vallées is by and large one of the biggest interlinked ski resorts in all of Europe, and the surprising reality is that all of it lies entirely within Swiss borders. Verbier has other linked resorts just moments away by the integrated lift system. One ski pass, then, gives admission to Nendaz, Veysonnaz, Thyon, and Mont Fort—that’s over 330 km of ski runs. The resort and lowest skiable piste lies at 1500 meters; the highest lift goes all the way to the top at 3330 meters, with a vertical drop of over 15 km possible, which is equivalent to dropping out of an airplane for over 2500 meters! Additionally, beginners and intermediates will have the most runs, while experts will have the most challenging they may have ever faced. The slope dissection looks something like this: 19 blue runs spread over 135 km; 20 red runs spread over 170 km and 5 black runs spread over 26 km. There are 17 lifts capable of transporting upwards of 40000+ skiers per hour. One lift dubbed “Le Jumbo” in particular can carry 150 people in one go to Mont Fort (glacier).
Snowboarding in Switzerland has always been welcomed with open arms (and pistes). Verbier – Les 4 Vallées is by no means any different. Here, the La Chaux 1936 Neipark—with beginner, intermediate and professional slides, boxens, jumps and tablets—is probably the most famous. The annual Xtreme ski and snowboard invites 30 of the world’s best riders to participate for first place. Don’t think that pros can just jump in—this race is for invites only, meaning only the better of the best are invited to ski and board.
Verbier – Les 4 Vallées Accommodation:
Many of the hotels in the Verbier area are either very close to a town center or just a few steps from the lifts. In either case, the lodges provide free shuttle service for both pick-up and drop-off. The apartments and chalets in the area can be had for a good price, especially if either pre-booked or booked during one of the slower times of the year. Winter festivities and summer horse riding, mountain bike and 4 x 4 races keep an influx of visitors almost any time of the year.- Secure payment
