About the resort

For more than 60 years, skiers from all over the world have come to spend their ski holidays in Méribel. Located in the heart of the 3 Valleys, the biggest ski area in the world with 375 miles of groomed runs, Méribel have one of the most efficient lift systems. In the Méribel Valley alone, more than 400 ski instructors are at your disposal. The diversity of the slopes makes it an ideal destination for family ski vacations. The village has kept its traditional style, in harmony with the mountain setting. Every building has been constructed using local stone and wood. Accommodations go from simple hotel rooms to apartments and chalets.

Additional information - The Olympic Park of the Chaudanne includes many sports facilities: ice rink, swimming pool with a brand new space (sauna, steam bath, Jacuzzi) - climbing wall, night club, bowling (6 tracks with electronic score display), snowshoeing. Hiking in a snowmobile Méribel-Mottaret out of the ski area and day circuit of mini snowmobiles for children (10 €) Méribel is one of the few stations which has been given an Altiport where courses in mountain flying and tourist flights are offered. Escape by air is also possible by paragliding… (3 offered by providers, tuition internships or a la carte). Ski school, childcare, child lift, child slopes, ski equipment rental, ... Specials Dec. 18 : Méribel FIS Freestyle World Cup Dec. 21 : French Freestyle Cup Dec 29/30: FIS races – night-time slalom Jan. 31/ Feb. 7: British Services International Alpine Ski & Snowboard Championships • From March 29 to April 9: Ski Championships of Great Britain (juniors and seniors) This year again, the dynamic Ski Federation of Great Britain wished to organize at Méribel its Alpine Skiing Championships. They bring together the elite of British skiing but many foreign nations are also the appointment for these FIS classified courses. Sponsor of the Great Britain Ski Team, Prince Edward, Earl of Wessex, honours with his presence the station and all the participants. • March 30 to April 5: World Junior Ice Hockey Championships On the rinks of Meribel and Courchevel, the junior teams (under 18 years/2nd division) of China - South Korea - Croatia - Australia - Belgium and France meet. • April 13: 6th "3 Valleys X Wing Rally" Organized by stations of the 3 Valleys (Courchevel - Tania - Méribel - Brides les Bains -- Menuires and Val Thorens) this day is open to all, "pros" or amateur sports and any form of snow. It aims to discover the ski area of 3 Valleys in a playful, sports and festive way, and has a period when the so-called "spring" skiing is of an excellent quality.
