About the resort

A two-hour drive from the Mediterranean coast brings you to St Jean Montclar, a mountain village lying between, the Northern Alps and Provence in the heart of the sunny side of the Alpine range. It is set amidst an undulating landscape, "a piece of Swiss scenery under the Provençal sky", nestling below the Dormillouse mountain - altitude 2,500 metres - with a forest of evergreen and deciduous trees. The ski-ing area of this genuine mountain resort extends over the two back-to-back slopes of its towering mountain. The ski-resort has retained a harmonious aspect in this typical mountain environment.
