The French resorts’ high aptitude and the considerable slope preparation conducted every summer, combined with the use of artificial snow, allows a snow cover guarantee. About 1/6th of the French ski area is equipped with automated snow producing installations. Many of the French ski resorts, Tignes, Val Thorens and Les 2 Alpes, to name a few, have glaciers that offer excellent skiing conditions from the end of November to early May.
