Tignes in France has over 300 km of slopes and pistes. Believe it or not, Tignes is one of the highest ski resorts of this French Alps chain, with several other ski areas either connecting or close by. Skiing Tignes gives access to the famous Espace Killy (ski passes ranging around 200 Euro for six days!) and Val d’Isere. The uttermost altitude starts at 3450 meters and gives way to a 6 km of downhill slope, with 150 km of 154 ski runs branching off the mountains. The Geneva airport in Switzerland is 165 km away, with a bus frequently coming to Tignes. The rail line for Tignes stops at Bourg St. Maurice, just 30 km away. The accessibility of ski holidays to Tignes has made it one of the most frequented by locals and outsiders alike - all cultures unite for some great skiing and terrific snowboarding. The Aprčs ski venues are noticeably becoming more popular, as discos and bars with live music blare well into the night.

Tignes hotels, apartments, chalets and lodges include the whole shebang from two and three star to four and five star housing. There are some great deals on four stars, both during low and high season.
