Radstadt lies in the Salzburg region in Austria, linked to Altenmarkt. In fact, Radstadt makes up part of the Salzburger Sportwelt Ski Area, where a lift ticket gives access to Altenmarkt and Flachau, Goldegg, Wagrain, Zauchensee, Kleinarl, St Johann-Alpendorf, Filzmoos and the like. Radstadt itself has 20 km of pistes (15 ski runs); however, combined with Altenmarkt and the others, there are over 100 individual ski runs hightailing over 1200 total kilometers. The lowest piste and resort altitude linger around 900 meters, with the highest reachable piste at 1571 meters. The longest slope in Radstadt-Altenmarkt proper is 3 km long, with a total elevation drop of 716 meters, though it is fast and furious.
