Andermatt, Hospental and Realp in the Gotthard holiday region have a lot to offer. In winter the "Ursern valley" becomes a huge ski arena. On the Gemsstock there is one of the very first Alpine runs created especially for carvers and the Paradeberg near Andermatt, scene of a series of exciting events, has long been a "secret" among skiers & snowboarders. If you are more of a cross-country skier you will find 20 km of well prepared runs between Andermatt and Realp. And if you prefer something altogether less strenuous, you should try a gentle winter hike or go sledging on the Natschen.
