Obersaxen with its 29 hamlets and almost as many chapels lies on a plateau at an altitude of 1200 m above sea level. When you look to the West, you can see all the way to the Oberalppass mountain pass. On the other side of the valley lies Brigels and behind it the largest of all, the majestic Tödi. The ski resort Obersaxen also reaches all the way to the 2300 m high Piz Sezner. The descent towards Wali is known as the finest deep powder snow slope in the Alps.
Obersaxen offers a large number of holiday apartments of all kinds. There are also different hotels in the range of 1 to 4 stars, smaller as well as larger accommodation facilities for groups, families and associations. Various restaurants, apres-ski bars and shops add to the choices on offer. In winter there is a cost-free bus between Friggahüs and Affeier.
