Isola 2000 in France is located in the southern part of the French Alps, just 100 km from the Nice Cote d’Azur airport. There are numerous summits in the area, 15 of them between 2.000 and 3.000 meters. From Sistron, it is often possible to see the Mediterranean Sea. The Isola ski resort offers quite a variety of slopes, as there are over 2.000 hectares of land. The resort itself is located at 2.000 m, although the lowest place skiers can reach are 1.800 meters. There are 120 km of ski slopes (43 in total), one of them offers 5 km in length. There is a mix of 22 different lifts taking skiers and boarders to the top, as well as 200 snow cannons which are capable of covering the slopes in minutes. Isola 2000 does not have many free-style parks, however, if you are set your eyes on snowboarding, there is a snowboard cross and a half pipe, many a boarder has gone through their fair share of “yard sale” (wiped out) in order to get their tricks to stick. A six-day ski pass, for example, will only cost app. 130 Euros per person during the high season.
